Is a Doctoral student in “Innovación Educativa y Cultura Digital” at Universidad de Cartagena. Master of Pedagogical Mediation in Learning English. She holds a Specialization in Education Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the UPTC and a TESOL certificate from Perimeter College in the USA. She currently works as a full-time professor at UPTC. As an active researcher, she is the leader of IMCLE and a member of the SIMILES research group. Her main research addresses ELT methodological strategies, perceptions, and emotions of young students in foreign language acquisition, educational gamification, global digital citizenship, pedagogical mediation in English language teaching, and the development of virtual learning environments, contributing significantly to the field of applied linguistics and digital pedagogy.

El autor es actualmente docente asociado del Instituto Internacional de Idiomas de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC), Facultad Seccional Sogamoso. Obtuvo su titulo de Doctorado en Lenguaje y Cultura de la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia y realizó su pasantía internacional en la Universidad de Buenos Aires; además, posee una Maestría en Lingüística Aplicada a la Enseñanza del Inglés LE de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas y una Maestría en Lingüística Inglesa Aplicada de la Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia de
Madrid, España.
Durante su desempeño profesional ha sido coordinador académico del programa de Maestría en Docencia de Idiomas, coordinador del Instituto Internacional de Idiomas de la Seccional Sogamoso, representante docente ante el Comité Académico del mismo instituto, representante de docentes ante el Consejo Académico de la UPTC. Hoy en día, es líder del Grupo de Investigación IMCLE (Investigación Multidisciplinar en Culturas y Lenguas Extranjeras) y gestor del programa de Especialización en Educación Bilingüe y de la Política Institucional de Lenguas Extranjeras.
